This is a rebuild kit for your late BMW 2002 (and 2002Tii) heater valve (73-76). It is a very good idea to rebuild your valve at the same time as you are going through your heater box. Given this valve is over forty years old, it is usually corroded and not functioning properly.
This solid-brass valve is machined right here in Southern California. Included are corrosive-resistant stainless steel bolts and coolant-compatible O-rings.

1973-1976 BMW 2002 (please note that some earlier cars have had a later heater box installed at some point. To verify that your heater valve is the “late style”, shine a flashlight into the passenger-side of the heater-box cavity in your engine bay. There you will see the valve. It should look like the valve in the reference photo above.)
